This sweet little furry baby is the newest addition to the family! His name is Harvey, he is an 8 month old Border Collie mix. We rescued him from the local Animal Protection Society (aka the pound.) We were told that he was surrendered to them, and we can’t believe that anyone would give him up! Not only is he adorable and super smart, he is well behaved and doesn’t have a case of the crazies like most 8 month old puppies do.
Sketch and Harvey are getting along great! Mr. Sketch is super happy to have a brother, and we love that he finally has a full-time playmate. The extra exercise will hopefully have him dropping the LB’s soon!
Even though “the boys” are the same breed, they have very different personalities. Sketch has always been the type to hang to the side and be a loner, but he still enjoys receiving some love from time to time. While Harvey is anywhere and everywhere that we are. If there are hands to pet him, he is there! Sketch tends to reserve his barks for things that are really important, like intruders, the UPS man, bunnies, and of course squirrels. While Harvey has an interesting habit of barking at carried objects, new furniture, and of course the toolbox.
It has been fun learning all about Harvey’s personality quirks, and training him has so far been a breeze. We have all adjusted quickly to the new situation, and he already feels like part of our family.
