Right now John and I have a lot of potential projects going on in our heads. We know that the planning part is just as important as the execution. However, all planning and no execution, makes Jennifer a dull girl. So to satisfy my urge to make things pretty NOW, I looked to my trusty partner: Spray paint.
Spray paint is one of the fastest ways I know of to transform something old and boring into something new and exciting. So I wanted to share one of my recently refreshed projects, painting a Luxo desk lamp! My color of the moment seems to be yellow. I am being drawn to yellow everywhere. (Like this, this and this).
A few months back I was looking for a Luxo style lamp for my office, and it turned out my mom had one she wasn’t using and graciously gave it to me.
As you can see, while it definitely had style, it was lacking some personality. Enter a left over can of yellow spray paint.
I took the whole thing apart, sprayed everything with 2 coats of paint, and reassembled.
Now she looks like this:
The lamp really brightened up my office at work. What a happy lamp!
What have you transformed with spray paint?
