The laundry room finally gets less ugly. We patch the walls and paint everything including the exposed pipes. We also install some ClosetMaid wire shelves that really pull the whole room together by framing the washer and dryer, and providing the easy access storage you expect in a utility / laundry room.

We got rid of the cabinet doors in our kitchen because the laminant was coming off and they were sagging a bit. It was an easy job with a big payoff. This is just a temporary fix to keep us happy until the kitchen overhaul happens.
Our mid century house, being over 50 years old, settled a bit, leaving some uneven floors around the exterior walls. This is kind of a bummer if you don't want your drink sliding off the night stand, so we solved this problem with some resourceful ingenuity by making shims out of a door mat.
