The side tables in our bedroom have been a bit difficult to place. At first, they wouldn’t fit where we had the bed, so we moved the bed and changed the layout of the room. The tables then sat on a wall under the window with an uneven floor. Our mid century house, being over 50 years old, settled a bit, leaving some uneven floors around the exterior walls. This is kind of a bummer if you don't want your drink sliding off the night stand, so we solved this problem with some resourceful ingenuity by making shims out of a door mat.
